Moving an object's origin in vanilla Blender is a detour: place the 3D cursor (accurately, somehow), then Object > Set Origin > Origin to 3D Cursor, then check it landed where you meant. Do that for a kit of forty modular wall pieces and you've lost half an hour to clicking through menus. Pivot Forge turns it into: press V, click where you want the pivot, done. While the tool is active, your cursor becomes a precision snap probe. Hover near a corner and it locks to the vertex (blue ring). Hover along an edge and it locks to the edge midpoint (green highlight). Hover over a surface and it targets the face center (red highlight). Click, and the object's origin moves exactly there — mesh unchanged in world space, single clean undo step. By default snapping works on the base mesh (the tool temporarily hides modifier previews so you can see the real geometry); flip one toggle and it snaps to the fully evaluated mesh instead, modifiers and all. Beyond the interactive mode, the N-panel (Pivot tab) has the batch operations game artists actually need: • Set Pivot at Bottom — bottom-center pivot for every selected object. The classic prop/environment-asset convention, done on the whole kit at once. • Set Pivot to 3D Cursor — batch version of the vanilla workflow. • Center (Bounding Box) and Center (Mass) — recenter origins across the selection. • In Edit Mode: select any vertices, edges, or faces and set the pivot from the selection's center. USE CASE: You've kitbashed 30 modular fence pieces that all need bottom-center pivots for clean grid snapping in Unreal. Select all, one click, every pivot is placed. The doorway piece that needs its pivot on a specific hinge corner? Press V, click the corner vertex, done. COMPATIBILITY: Blender 4.0+. The activation key is remappable right in the panel. No external dependencies. Pivot Forge is free — like its sibling Mirror Forge (https://theforgefoundry.gumroad.com/l/mirror-forge). If the Forge tools save you time, they're two of six in the Game Asset Pipeline Toolkit Pro Bundle — see the full lineup at https://theforgefoundry.gumroad.com/.
